We went to about 3 lessons each day, and they were all very interesting. We went to all kinds of classes like science, Spanish, English literature, and so on, but I think we went to English lessons the most often. As our first lesson, for example, we went to English with the twelfth graders and it was so interesting. They were studying the 10 km gap between Russia and the US called the Bering Strait and the people who live there. At the beginning of the lesson, we watched a short video. Then we looked at grammar examples a new words from that video. At the end of the lesson, we talked about what we saw and remembered from that video. It was really interesting to see how we had a bit different level in English than they did, but that is understandable because French is a really well-known and used language around the world, and English might not be so needed there.
All the lessons we went to were interesting, and we felt included in every lesson. The school system there is also a bit different from what we have here in Estonia. First, they each have their own timetable and personalised lessons. School days are also a lot longer in France. They start school at 8 am and finish around 6 pm. They do have a 2h break and only 1 or 2 lessons on Wednesday, but the days seem super long and exhausting.
